Embryo freezing involves the process of freezing a couple’s embryos which will later be stored in liquid nitrogen at very low temperatures (-196°C) for future use.This method helps to preserve embryo’s viability, ensuring that they remain healthy and functional for years to come in order to achieve pregnancy at their later stage of life.
Type of packages:
- Short-term:
Freezing of embryos up to a duration of maximum of 3 months.
This type of package is usually recommended for patients who want to freeze their additional embryos for a short period of time that usually reflects with a shorter IVF/ICSI treatment cycle, in scenarios where the couple have already attempted at fresh transfer and is going for frozen transfer within 3 months or to couples who want to freeze additional embryos obtained during the IVF/ ICSI treatment that is not included in their treatment package.
- Long–term:
Freezing of embryos up to a duration of maximum of 1 year. This type of package is usually undertaken by patients who want to preserve their fertility for a longer period of their lifetime due to many reasons like lifestyle changes, medical/ surgical reasons, or patients undergoing cancer treatments, etc.
Inclusions: Freezing of up to 2 embryos, Media & Consumable charges, Laboratory charges, Hospital charges, and a detailed report depicting your embryo storage details.
What is not included?
- IVF/ ICSI/ PICSI package
- Drugs
- Laboratory Investigations
These charges are not included in the package as it varies on a patient-to-patient basis and we take a personalised approach in treating every couple differently.
For laboratory investigations, we give the patient the flexibility to get it done with any other registered diagnostic laboratory services if financially feasible.
*Note: Patients should note that they are liable to pay renewable charges to JIL Fertility Pvt. Ltd. at the end of their storage terms. The renewable charges will be based upon the long-term package rate for which we can store the sample up to 1 year time.
